Karachi ‘EAT’ food festival to start on 12th

Following up with the successful series of events in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad Eat Food Festivals in 2017, Pakistan’s favourite food platform ‘EAT’ celebrates its 5th Anniversary with Karachi Eat, scheduled to take place from 12th to 14th January 2018 at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park.

The brain child of CKO Event Architecture, now in its fifth year running this annual event has become the largest food Festival in the country and draws in a crowd of over 300,000 people in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Eat festivals focus on details which no other festival would consider. The purpose behind it is of course to create an experience which is as inclusive as possible whilst maintaining the original concept.

Consisting of 125 Kiosks representing more than 7 different kinds of cuisines that include Parsi, Mexican, Sri Lankan, Middle Eastern, Thai, Chinese, Swiss, South Indian and more, Karachi Eat will also host leading hospitality institute COTHAM to showcase their Taste Studio consisting of local chefs who will be doing live demos on all three days of the event. Additionally all three days will also host music within the evening where Pakistan’s leading talents will perform. Bringing the art of painting to the common man Easel Bay will be setting up easels around the venue providing painting material (Canvases, paints etc) for children and adults to bring their creativity.

Indeed, the EAT is an annual food festival built around the idea of creating a common platform in a Public Space for people who love food. From the most creative and talented chefs to the street vendors, the EAT is a festival which celebrates the full diversity of food that the cities has to offer.

On the festivals 5th anniversaries Aslam Khan & Omar Omari of CKO Event Architecture have said: “This is the year of the ‘BIG EAT’. We have raised the bar in terms of venue size, number of participants, surprise performances from Pakistan’s leading pop singers and much more. We remain focused on our objectives behind the festival, which is to provide great family entertainment, reactivation of public spaces around our cities and to inspire a community spirit,”
